Exposició "Narradors orals, els mags de la paraula"

El pròxim dilluns 18 d'octubre inauguro una nova exposició. Aquesta vegada a Barcelona, al bar del Centre Cívic Parc Sandaru del barri de Sant Martí, en el marc del Munt de Mots, el Festival de Narració Oral de Barcelona. Mostraré una selecció de fotografies del meu treball sobre els contacontes.

Per fer-vos una idea del que hi trobareu, aquí teniu el text introductori de la exposició:
"Més enllà de les noves tecnologies, moderníssims aparells i tècniques visuals, a principis del segle XXI encara hi ha artesans de l'art de contar, il·lusionistes del llenguatge que miren de guanyar-se al públic valent-se només del seu propi cos. Com ho fan els contacontes, els narradors orals. Ells s'enfronten al repte d'explicar històries sense més eines que la veu i les mans. Aquests trobadors del segle XXI aconsegueixen fascinar a grans i petits amb relats que van des de la més pura fantasia fins a la subtilesa del erotisme. Ho fan en places, carpes i embalats, sota el sol del migdia o a la llum de la lluna, en locals foscos plens de fum o en sota una tènue llum artificial en sales a mig omplir.

A cada sessió ens demostren el gran poder dels mots, la capacitat de la veu humana de crear imatges i filar narracions. Ens sedueixen, ens captiven i ens emocionen. Són uns il·lusionistes de la veu, els mags de la paraula dels nostres dies. "

La inauguració tindrà lloc el proper dilluns 18 d'octubre a les 18.30 hores. Es podrà visitar del 18 al 29 d'octubre al bar. El Centre Cívic Parc Sandarú es troba al carrer Bonaventura Muñoz 21 (cantonada Nàpols), a prop de la parada del metro d'Arc de Triomf (L1). El centre esta obert de dilluns a divendres de 9.00 a 21.00 hores i dissabtes de 10.00 a 14.00 hores.

Next monday 18th october another exhibition is opening. This time in Barcelona, at the bar of the Centre Cívic Parc Sandaru in Sant Martí, as part of the Munt de Mots, el Festival de Narració Oral de Barcelona (Munt de Mots, Oral Narrative Barcelona Festival). I will show a selection of photographs from my project on storytellers.

The opening will take place next monday 18th october at 18.30 and you will be able to visit the exhibition from the 18th until the 29th october at the bar of the centre. The Centre Cívic Parc Sandarú is located at the Bonaventura Muñoz 21 street (with Nàpols). Nearest metro stop is Arc de Triomf (L1). The centre is open monday to friday from 9.00 to 21.00 hores and saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00 hores.

Exposició "Tan lluny, tan a prop"

Del 30 de setembre al 16 d'octubre podreu veure una àmplia selecció d'imatges, sobretot paisatge i retrat, a la sala municipal d'exposicions de Begur (Girona). La inauguració d'aquesta exposició titulada "Tan lluny, tan a prop" tindrà lloc el proper dissabte 2 d'octubre a les 18.30 hores.

Podeu visitar la sala tant dijous de 17.00 a 20.00 hores així com divendres i dissabtes de 16.00 a 20.00.

From the 30th september until the 16th october you can visit Begur's municipal exhibition hall where I will be exhibiting a wide selection of images from landscape to portrait. The opening of this exhibition named "So far, so close" will take place next saturday 2nd october at 18.30.

The exhibition is open thurdays from 17.00 to 20.00 and also fridays and saturdays from 16.00 to 20.00.

Photography has been a very important part of my life since I started using the camera as a tool to understand the world. I held a camera for the first time in a classroom at University. Step by step It grew comfortable in my hands and became and ally. It is five years form now that I started this adventure, five years being moved while looking through the lens.

Thanks to it I have rediscovered my surroundings, the people around me and myself. I have been able to rediscover my own personality, break my limits and getcloser to realities I used to observe from a distance. It allowed me to look in the eye a lot more, and for longer. This is a compilation of what my eyes captured over the past years.

La gent de Plantem-nos esta intentant promoure la creació d'una xarxa d'horts urbans a Terrassa, al solars en desús que hi ha per tota la ciutat.

Després de veure un cartell tot passejant per la ciutat, vaig contactar amb ells per documentar el projecte. Han penjat alguna de les imatges al seu blog. Aquí teniu l'entrada amb les fotografies.

The folks of Plantem-nos ("let's plant ourselves") are trying to promote urban gardens in Terrassa, in order to make use of the empty plots spread all over the city.

After seeing one of their sign while walking around the city centre, I got in touch with them in order to document the project. They uploaded some of the pictures to their blog. You can find the entry with the photos here.

Polònia ha tornat a la meva càmara amb motiu del casament d'una amiga. El tren em va donar l'oportunitat de fer algunes de les instantànies que veieu aquí. Les altres vàren sorgir gràcies a l'hospitalitat dels que em van acollir.

El passat 24 de juny de 2009, durant la nit de Sant Joan, un incendi va cremar quatre hectàrees de bosc a la cala Sa Tuna, Begur. No és la primera vegada que succeeix, fa més de vint anys ja es va cremar una part de la muntanya que enmarca la platja. Quan els locals havien gairebé oblidat les imatges de sòl ennegrit i troncs carbonitzats, torna altre el foc.
